چکیده

Background: Cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis, has various pharmacological advantages associated with clinical use, especially for reducing inflammatory arthritis and paw edema animal models. This study evaluated the anti-inflammatory effects of oral CBD doses (5-40 mg/kg) rats after injecting 0.1 mL carrageenan. Methods: Rats were orally administered an hour before carrageenan-induced inflammation to observe CBD. Paw was measured at 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 h carrageenan induction. Following six-hour induction carrageenan, histological analysis employing hematoxylin eosin staining performed investigate cell infiltration edema. In addition, blood samples taken used cytokine detection using ELISA bead-base assays. Results: We found that efficacy all decreased comparable or had greater than agent (Diclofenac 10 mg/kg), induced Moreover, high dose (40 suppressed chemokine productions, including monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1 MCP-3, compared diclofenac placebo. serotonin levels, pro-inflammatory-like neurotransmitter, drastically treated either diclofenac. Conclusions: Oral is interesting use setting. However, more information regarding drug safety large population human studies needed.
